1. Discover Transylvania
Bucharest-Sinaia-Peles Castle-Bran Castle-Brasov-Sighisoara-Prejmer-Bucharest

 

Day 1

Nice drive to Sinaia. Visit the summer residence of the royal family, Peles Palace and, of

course, the Sinaia Monastery, settled in 1695.

Cross the Carpathians to Bran village, to visit the famous Dracula Castle.

In the afternoon enjoy the city tour of the Brasov city. Continue the journey to Sighisoara

(the best preserved medieval town throughout Europe and continuously inhabited since

Middle Ages), and spend  the night in this marvellous city.

 

Day 2

Start the day with a walking tour of Sighisoara fortified town, including the Clock Tower

and the History Museum. On the way back to Bucharest, stop to visit the peasant fortified

stronghold in Prejmer.

 

Wrap up your Transylvanian outing with a taste of Romanian cuisine accompanied

2. Best of Romania
Bucharest-Piatra Neamt-Painted Monasteries of Agapia, Humor, Voronet-Sighisoara-Biertan-Brasov-Sinaia Peles Castle-Bucharest

 

From Bucharest to Piatra Neamt , the route takes you across the Romanian plain

and through the famous vineyards of Vrancea county.

 

From Piatra Neamt spend a day touring the most representative painted monasteries

in the Bucovina Region - Agapia, Humor, and Voronet - what many have called the

Sistine Chapel of Eastern Europe!   

The journey will continue with Sighisoara, the birth town of Prince Vlad Dracula

The only continuously inhabited medieval town since the early Middle Ages, Sighisoara

is an important part of the World Cultural Heritage .  

Strolling through the ancient cobbled streets of Sighisoara, you may just feel as though

you've traveled back to medieval times! Among the places to see are the famous Clock

Tower Museum and Torture Room, the Evangelical Church, and the Armor Room.

The tour would include as well the house in which Dracula - Vlad the Impaler was born

and explore the fortress including the Church on the Hill.

Drive to Jidvei for lunch and wine-tasting. Jidvei is the largest winery of Central

Transylvania. In the afternoon, venture to Biertan fortress church, a World Cultural

Heritage site, hosting the largest wing altar in Romania.

Then enjoy the charms of another unique city, Brasov. Visit St. Nicolae church, the

museum of the first Romanian school in Transylvania, and the magnificent Black

Church - the largest gothic style church in South-Eastern Europe. A short drive will take 

you to the "Dracula" Castle in Bran Village.

The castle was constructed by 14th century merchants to protect the border between

Wallachia and Transylvania!  

The next stop would be the Peles Castle, the awesome former summer residence of

the Romanian royal family, and the Sinaia Monastery, a beautiful example of the local

Byzantine architectural style.

Back to Bucharest with beautiful memories and maybe a wish to return....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Discover Bucovina

Bucovina is the one region in Romania that holds not only an impressive collection

of painted churches, but it is also a guardian of the old Romanian traditions.
During the tour you will be able to learn some of the oldest and most cherished arts:

drawing icons on wood or glass and painting Easter eggs.
You will also enjoy the beautiful nature and a wonderful atmosphere and will take

advantage of having meals composed of fresh natural products, prepared in

the local households.

Departure/Arrival by train (sleeping car).

 

You’ll enjoy an introduction to the folk costumes and a photo session trying them on :),

 you will be shared all the secrets on how to draw icons on wood or glass by a local

master, meet masters in textiles and decorative arts and benefit of a hand-on egg

decorating demonstration, and much, much more.

 

As the villages of Moldavia have preserved the best secrets of traditional cuisine you’ll

also have the opportunity to prepare and to get the recipe for some traditional dishes.

In the evening, you can have a folk dinner with folk dances entertainment and you will

be offered a surprise: learn a local folk dance together with local dancers.

You will also have time to relax and enjoy a ride with the old steam train “Mocanita”.

 

The entire journey offers time for rest, walk and enjoy nature.
